Meet the Team
The Park County Travel Council (PCTC) board consists of 10 representatives including one appointee from Meeteetse, two appointees from Powell, two appointees from Cody, four appointees from the county, and a member of the Wyoming Office of Tourism appointed by the Governor. PCTC also employs three full-time employees.
Our Focuses
Our primary focuses are to obtain national and international recognition for Park County, to showcase the area as a multi-seasonal destination having endless possibilities, and to realize full visitor potential. We work in close partnership with other local entities to work collectively towards destination development and improving the county for visitors, locals, and businesses alike.
Our Role
The Park County Travel Council markets Park County, Wyoming in its entirety under the name of Cody Yellowstone, which includes the communities of Powell, Meeteetse, Cody and East Yellowstone Valley, as well as Yellowstone National Park. The role of the PCTC is to administer Park County’s 4% lodging tax revenues. Wyoming state statutes dictate the revenues be spent for tourism promotion only.
Board Meetings
The Park County Travel Council is a Joint Powers Board composed of ten volunteer board members. Four members are appointed by Park County Commissioners, two by the Cody City Council, two by the Powell City Council and one by the Meeteetse City Council. A representative from the Wyoming Business Council’s Travel Commission is also on the board. The board meeting, open to the public, usually meets the third Thursday of each month at 10:00 am in the boardroom at the PCTC office located at 1306 Sheridan Avenue. Ryan Hauck, Executive Director of the Park County Travel Council, is responsible for implementing a myriad of marketing strategies for Park County, Wyoming.
