Executive Director of Park County Travel Council Resigns, Accepts Position as CEO of Experience Fayetteville in Arkansas

CODY, Wyo., April 21, 2025 – Ryan Hauck, executive director of the Park County Travel Council (PCTC), has accepted the chief executive officer position of Experience Fayetteville, a Destination Marketing Organization in Northwest Arkansas. Hauck will continue working for PCTC, also known as Cody Yellowstone, until late June.

“Being part of this organization has meant a lot to me, both professionally and personally,” said Hauck in his resignation letter. “I’m genuinely proud of what we’ve accomplished together over the last four years to support and grow tourism in Park County. The teamwork, the shared vision and all the great work we’ve done together have been so rewarding.”

Hauck was contacted by a recruiting firm seeking a replacement for Experience Fayetteville’s previous CEO, who resigned the position after being elected mayor. Fayetteville is home to the University of Arkansas and has a population of approximately 100,000. Like Cody Yellowstone, Fayetteville and the surrounding area are known for plentiful outdoor recreation activities like hiking, biking, climbing and water sports.

Hauck joined PCTC in 2021 after Claudia Wade, the organization’s founding executive director who held the position for more than 30 years, retired. He is a native of Wyoming and earned his bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Wyoming. Hauck has worked in the tourism industry in various capacities in Utah, New Mexico, Colorado and Wyoming.

“We wish Ryan and his family all the best in their future endeavors,” said John Parsons, chair of PCTC’s board of directors. “He has been a true asset for us, and it is not surprising that other tourism entities recognized his work and approached him.”

PCTC will soon launch its own search for Hauck’s replacement.
