Rodeo

Welcome to the Rodeo Capital of the World! The heart of the action runs deep in this wild Western town. Early settlers honed their horsemanship and roping skills to survive on the vast, untamed frontier. Today, this legacy lives on in local ranching culture. Thanks to our legendary town founder, Buffalo Bill Cody, the world knows Cody, Wyoming as the epicenter of rodeo excitement.

Cody Stampede Rodeo

Held every July 1–4, The Cody Stampede Rodeo attracts cowboys and cowgirls from across North America to compete for big prizes and ride the best rodeo stock in the country. This rodeo celebration offers four days of action-packed rodeo entertainment, craft fair, food booths, and daily parades.

Cody Nite Rodeo

Since 1938, The Cody Nite Rodeo has provided two hours of real wild, western, family-friendly action. Come early and meet the cowboys and bull-fighters. Get your picture taken on Mongo the bull. Nightly performances are scheduled for 8:00 p.m. from June 1 through August 31. Tickets can be purchased at the gate, the Stampede office 1031 12th Street, online, or from local vendors.

Cody/Yellowstone Xtreme Bulls

The Cody/Yellowstone Xtreme Bulls is an annual event bringing the top bull riders in the country to Cody to compete on the top bulls. Many of the competitors are hoping to make it to the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas.
